A poem about lost love
My heart and soul mourned

Out the front door you stormed

Hell hath no fury...

I just hope you still have love for me

Better man I should have been

I had the best woman

My mistakes made those pretty eyes water

I'm young, brash, and full of disorder

You're gone... not the same as before

I'm here... laying on the bathroom floor

Kettle sings for your sweet embrace

Cups yearn for your lips to taste

Stairs don't sound like they used to

Windows pray everyday that you'll look through

Seems like the walls miss you too

Since you been gone the paints turned misty blue

I wear jeans,a t-shirt, and a phony smile

Drive to the local bar and I stay a while

Imbibing spirits grants me time to think

At least I think I'll find answers at the end of this drink

Truth be told Mr. Daniels never listens

If he did he'd have bought you with him

Now I'm gone too, the world spins a little more

I'll love again... no, nevermore
