Never Forget

I don't remember it.
I was so very young.
But I remember the tears,
That on my mother's face hung.
I don't remember it.
The seemingly normal
Septemember morning.
When those people, strangers,
Hung their heads in mourning.
I don't remember it,
But in a way,
I remember it more than
Any other day!
The sadness and loss,
Death and tears
Of the people of my country,
back so many years.
But now we move on,
And we pick our heads up.
Remember those lost,
Never give up.
