Missing someone or something.
Wandering through the shadows, I wonder if you’re near
I’m looking for a sign, with an apprehensive tinge of fear
Yearning for your voice, that familiar hallow song
Come to me my father, I’ve waited much to long
Listening to the whispers, I strain to recognize,
That incandescent murmur that surely must survive
At once I think I hear you through a muddled, muffled tone
I reach in your direction, but to find myself alone
I need to know you’re with me, in soul and not just mind
I look for you in everything, especially mankind.
Your face and disposition, superior without compare
I miss you oh my father, but can’t find you anywhere.
