Personal poem about boundaries
.My Life Alone

I can give you my laughter to harmonize with yours

My chatter encourage yours

Or I can fling my arms out open and envelope you in

Greetings and Farewells

And patiently listen as you curse or praise some circumstance

Or place or thing

Action to meet reaction

With no regard for cause or affect

Involved in the moment and each other for itself only

And ourselves alone

But more than this I doubt I can give nore

Do I ask of you

Struggling as I am

With what I am

And how I came to be

Ceaselessly rehearsing the very possibilities of my life alone
