A poem about how I meditate
In meditation I learn
to ride the tide of my breath
Inhale...slowly...exhale
The breath being my focus

Imagine the sea at low tide
The water moving towards you
in steady, slow motion
and then receding just as slow

As you watch this scene
The sea drifting serenely
It gets softer slowly
more misty and rhythmic

The waves never stop
The ocean never disappears
So you can always come back
if you go out too far

So come back again
to the beginning inside of you
Flow back to the start
at the white, sandy shore

This will become stronger
The more that you practice
Just focus on the calm tide
always returning to the Source
