A poem about a rose in a hybrid form of Haikus and free form.
The petal of a rose falls
Parting from itself
Does beauty remain?

What worth is there in something that no longer belongs?

When beauty runs dry
When everything you cherish
Has fallen away

I have sowed new life in my past, through loss one gains...

The final tear falls
Tracing its way down its neck
The final descent

Empty, I have nothing left to give and so, and so…

My head grows heavy
Tired, I know that I must,
Bow out gracefully
