A poem inspired by the life of a candles flame
Standing tall I am masked by darkness
Dormant and waiting
Until I am ignited into life

A warm happiness radiates from me
And I dance for joy against the touch of a breeze
I spread life into others and warm their souls

But alas over time I grow tired
Age withers me down
And I have not the spark I used to

And so there I stand
Dormant and waiting
Until once again I am ignited into life
