this is about my uncles who have all passed now, but were a huge influence on my life.
MY UNCLES



My uncles had Large

Loaded

Eyebrows.

The kind that dance merrily

Across laughing foreheads

Jumping and leaping

Sweeping all

Sadness

Out of the way.



Long, lashy and luxurious

They hit the ceiling of their hairline

Batting baffled eyelashes away,

Twisting and turning.

Black thick and deep.

They held happy expressions

Of a clear soul.



Merry, welcoming, wise and wrinkled,

Twisting and moving like curtains

Allowing us to know, love and trust

Our prized bushy eyed

Uncles.



Those deep browed

Uncles of love.
