I dream about you.
Silver and White

I dream about you.
I dreamt about you last night,
dressed in silver and white
at your wedding,
as in love with me
as I was with you.

Once.

Your boy was Greek,
had his business cards
in the shape of Lego figures
He gave me one to keep.

We washed
and recreated photos
in grey pencil drawings
and everyone knew
when all was said and done.

You married him anyway.

When we parted
I couldn’t find his card,
couldn’t find you,
I woke desperate
without you,
without that love.

The dreams are sporadic
and we never really age.
Obsessions never end,
only change.
