To someone who was with me

Alex,

You jumped into my life with both feet
as if led by your heart,
have you been here before?
You looked into my eyes,
maybe they gave you an idea.
Comfortable from the start,
Isabella says you’re a 10,
I invited you in.
Thank you for showing
kindness and generosity.
You are a gentle soul.
I've been waiting
for such a spirit
to grace my presence,
a symbolic relationship
doing no harm,
only growing, learning, loving
