Something I wrote for an English Class.
Sometimes, I ask myself, where do I belong?
And I often cannot answer
Sometimes I say I belong in many places
Sometimes I am not sure where I belong
The answers are always changing
They never stay the same

I was brought up by my family
They raised me as I grew
We always fought about anything
It could go on for days
Still, we managed to get on well
They made me feel like I belong

I always belong with my friends
They always have my back
They are diverse and different people
Coming from all over the world
They always change, always move on
But I still think I belong with them

When I feel like I can belong nowhere
I get on the internet
I always belong in this sprawling web,
Where it is always easy to find someone who shares my ideas
Always easy to learn, and to meet new people
Always easy to belong

There are some places I rarely belong
Places like school, my place of learning
There are few people who I belong with
I have to pretend to be someone else
Just to fit in, Just to belong
One day, I can leave this place, and belong
