she was like a flower, in more ways than one.
i remember one time you compared me to a flower.
"you're just like a flower, you know that?"
i didn't need to question it- you continued on, explaining your thoughts.
"you're beautiful. you're small and delicate, but beautiful all the same. when people look at you, your beauty is captivating. everyone wants you for themselves."
all i could do was look at the ground and smile.
you truly made me the happiest i had ever been.
looking back at it, i think there was more reason for comparing me to a flower.
perhaps i was like a flower in the same way that you tossed me away once i had wilted.
when you had grown tired of me, when my beauty and value had gone away, you threw me out.
like a flower.
