A poem about how hard it is to be kind
If charity is the greatest
It is but because
It is the hardest to achieve

Those fat little cherubs
May claim it
But heaven knows not me

Right when love is at the cusp
An unseen hand hardens my heart
And I'm swallowed by the Red Sea

Overcome with old testament rage
much like Elijah and his bears
Why couldn't those children let him be

Oft I'll feel greatly discredited
The Great I Am Green
I'll allow my soul to feaster with jealousy

I'll spend my free time smiting my enemies
Damning Lot's wife
All, bring your sacrifice to me

Jephthah, come offer your daughter
Abraham, not your son
Onan, watch your seed

Sometimes I feel the need to drown them all
but I still have faith and hope and
With an attitude like that surely I'll succeed
