Just a sad little poem I based on a lady who I know who lost her child.
Little fish, little fish,
Swimming in the sea,
I cannot help but wonder why you swam up to me.
As you flip about your golden fins,
And wave your tiny tail,
I'm afraid you're so beautiful that my words have come to fail.

Little fish, little fish,
I would really love to play,
But I fear that we must wait for another day.
For my spirits have hit the ground,
And I may just purposely drown,
Just to rid myself of the pain.

Little fish, little fish,
I hope you never feel like this,
I pray you never swim upon someone you might come to miss.
Sure, they make the world magnificently better,
But now I seem to wish that I had never even met her,
Because now she's been dragged away.

Little fish, little fish,
Please I beg of thee,
Never swim upon a fish who loves as you the sea.
For only when we are blessed,
With things for which we stress,
The devil takes advantage and separates us from these.
Little fish, little fish,
Don't you understand?
They took her away,
And that i tried to delay,,
But there was nothing I could do,
So never love little fish, please, this I beg of you.

Little fish, little fish,
There is suffering here on land,
It weighs us down so greatly it's become critical to stand.
If I hadn't had a care in this world,
Surely I could fly.
But it is all these sufferings that make us wish to die.

Little fish, little fish,
I have come to play,
Maybe with all these burdens like a weight I will weigh.
They pull me deeper and you become a blur,
Swimming frantically for me, in hopes of finding her.
But many times I have tried and ultimately failed,
So maybe I will find her in the kingdom of the one we hailed.

Little fish, little fish,
I'm sorry I've got to go,
For I have run out of breath and sunk like a stone.
But worry not for you have set me free,
To be with the ones who fly and my sweet baby has now come for me.
Now we are together in the kingdom of the Lord,
In which we will live on forever and ever more.
