A poem about my girlfriend - a rhyming poem.
|Very soon, we’ll meet again -
I wait for your arrival.
The sweetest kiss, how long it’s been,
God’s blessing, my survival.
My heart so truly filled with joy
Awakens with a flourish.
Then tearful hugs, a girl and boy,
Two souls whose spirits nourish.
But favoring each other’s wills,
The story of our lives;
The faith and hope that love instills
Is how our union thrives.
Beating drums and marching feet,
A band that coolly plays
The righteous tunes of souls’ retreat
And God's adoring ways.
Love remembers His resolve,
His gloried, sacred plan.
For as the earth does still revolve
Through faith, we know we can,
Endure this tragic, lonesome time
Apart for oh so long –
Then feel the peace and joyful climb
Of God so great and strong.
