She Was Wind

It's a bitter winter night and a man is situated on a cliff. He gets to the edge and contemplates falling off. The man leans forward over the cliff but a strong, steady wind keeps him aloft.

The wind feels great on his skin. He feels so free. The man regrets ever thinking of the cliff. Then the wind stops and he falls forward. He doesn't drop. Somehow the man manages to get a firm hold on the edge of the cliff.

From here, the man has two options. One, he could get try to pull himself up or two, he could hang there until the soil crumbles and he falls into the freezing water below.

I am the man and she was wind.
