For my dear friend.
Someone I knew
Not too long ago
Would put himself down
As often people do.
And he'd Google his name
in the hopes that he'd see
That he was important enough to be
Right up at the top
Or in the first few pages.
In the hopes that his name would be full of importance
Full of the stuff
Like levels of awesome or greatness.
He never recognized
That Google's full of shit.
Google can't tell him that he's an amazing person
Or a sweetheart who loves and cares for everyone around him.
Google just cares about .govs and .coms
That pay the most money
In order to be seen.
Don't listen to Google
Listen to your friends
Who love you and care for you and know you'll succeed
Or listen to the teachers
Who praise you.
Or listen to me,
I'd like to think I know you well.
There's no better person on the planet.
I think that you
Should learn to think bright
Think about the light.
Because fuck Google.
Or Bing.
Or other stupid search engines.
Try UrbanDictionary instead.
Okay?
Love you, Willie.
