A dogs story

THE WOOFER

Round and round I scamper

Making myself dizzy

If I can’t have a pamper

I can at least keep busy

One’s tail is meant for chasing

But not to catch

I find the hunt most bracing

Then it’s time for a scratch

There’s nothing like having a stretch

Or lying in the sun

Having a toy to fetch

Or going for a run

If I get fed up

I’ll dig out a chew

And roll around like a pup

There’s not much else to do

I know I can be messy

But you love me just the same

By the way, my name is Jessie

And causing havoc is my aim

But an end to all this talking

Lets get out

It’s time to do some walking

Of that there is no doubt

There’s a lot out here to sniff

Nose to the ground

Hoping to find a whiff

Of whose been around

While we’re out and about

There’s something I must do

Now, I’m not a lout

But it does involve poo

It’s also time to take a leak

The first of many

Enough to form a small creek

It’s called, spending a penny

I spy another dog

Is he ready for a fight?

Down comes the red fog

Let me go and bite

I may be only small

But my bark is really large

I do like a brawl

And the chance to take charge

It’s time to go back home

The end of our stroll

Time to end this tome

And see what’s in my bowl
