Being passive will not always help.
You may be like me
But for you, things flow in a different way
They aren’t just like how every girl would think of
And what am I even thinking?
That you will chase after me;
Beg me to stay;
Stop me from leaving;
Or convince me to be always beside you?

Why will you even do that in the first place?
You’ve been one of the strongest trees in the midst of the storm
One of the firmest buildings in the city
One of the toughest lions in the jungle
An invulnerable guy indeed
So you will never do that

You will not leave me
That’s what you told me
Unless I wanted you to
Or unless I’m the one who will
And passive as you are, you’ll just allow me to do that
Without any fuss
Without a protest
Without telling me not to
Without stopping me
Despite how much I wish for you to do the opposite
You will never do those “mushy” stuff

But for once, just this once
Fight for me to stay
Grasp my wrist to stop me from leaving
Hug me and don’t let me go
Whisper the words I wish to hear
And I guarantee you; I’ll never ever run away again

From sunrise to sunset
From winter to autumn
I’ll never leave your side
Just don’t miss your boat.
