Entry for Blink! Contest - 9/30/2016 Prompt: 'protest'
In days gone by, his great grandfather would have been wearing buckskins and face paint; the beautiful headdress singling him out as the chief. Today the Chief wore his ceremonial headdress, just as beautiful, but with a suit and Bolo tie. His great grandfather would have been leading a war party. But today, as he stood on the sacred land where the pipeline was to go, all he could muster was a protest.
