A poem about love not accepted.
She stood on the cliff in the raging wind.
He stood on the edge of the castle wall.
Their hearts were breaking, tears flowing
They summoned each other with a call.

She was just a chamber maid at the castle
He was royalty and could not love her at all
The anguish was too much for either to bear
so they promised to die together at nightfall.

When they jumped the storm raged on,
no one noticed them in their fatal fall.
Their bodies were discovered in the morning,
news spreading fast to the main castle hall.

The scandal was not forgotten for many years.
It was a tragedy that it had to happen at all.
If you walk outside the castle in the darkness
you will hear the lovers heart breaking call..
