Five Haikus with a winter flavour
Forlorn, they stand tall
Devoid of their verdant cloak
Great oaks wait for spring

Bronzes and Coppers
Sedately emerge from green
A beauty so brief

The ancient tree stands
Golden fruit in abundance
Bird's joy in winter

Clouds gather, close in
Pour forth the load they carry
Bringing renewal

In darkness they lie
Cold shrouds them, then winter breaks
New growth sees the dawn
