Tornado

Torrents of rain from tumescent storm clouds
Turns the landscape into thick black soup.
Hail stones wreak destruction with staccato drumbeats,
Vortices consume everything in their paths like voracious giants;
Then vomit destruction onto scarred acreage,
Where orderly lives once played on the stage of life.
