New Prompt: Trouble and me, we're old buddies, you see

Woke up this morning, Tripped over the cat,
Stepped into the closet, and squashed my new hat.
I grabbed a blouse and an old pair of jeans
Got dressed in a hurry-found a split in the seams.

Went to the kitchen for a quick bite to eat
Popped bread in the toaster, but it wouldn't heat!
Instead of relaxing with a warm cup of Joe
The pot was stopped up, water just would not flow.

I searched in my purse for my set of car keys,
They were not to be found! I mumbled "Oh, please!"
Needless to say, my car was locked tight
With keys in ignition. "Now, this really bites!"

Trouble and me, we're old buddies, you see.
If it weren't for bad luck there'd be no luck for me!
I went back inside to look for the spare
Though I searched and I searched, it just wasn't there.

Thank goodness, it's the weekend! I don't have to work
Or I'd be fired for sure, 'Cause my boss is a jerk!
I've tried four leaf clovers, and the foot of a rabbit.
Nothing ever works! Trouble is a habit!

Trouble, oh trouble, with a capital "T"
Why don't you find someone other than me!
Tomorrow's a new day, and I'll start again.
Surely Old Trouble won't cause me more pain.

I'll go to the bedroom, and go back to bed.
Get between the sheets and cover my head!
If Trouble finds me, he won't give me grief;
I'll be asleep - Oh what a relief!
