SMILE changes sadness!
A SMILE DOES THE TRICK
1. When upon thine shoulders heavy burdens lay,
When thou lookest onward for peace in tumult,
Know thou of a surety that calmness is near,
When thine wrinkled face tries to smile.

2. Dost thine troubled heart fine rest in May?
Art thou calm amidst disquietude and assault?
Wilt thou slyly grin when all hope is cleared?
Shove thou then the remembrance of fear,
When thine wrinkled face tries to smile.

3. If a hound terribly at you bay,
Or a sage at you consult,
Trust not thou in a raging mere,
When thine wrinkled face tries to smile.

4. For smile does the trick,
A healer of hurts it is,
Thou therefore should'st not fray,
Brace thineself up as an adult,
'Cos smile dost deal with the pricks,
And leav'st thee all gay and merry,
After that thou hast drunk of the creeks,
Joy and peace and all good there is.
Oh! Be glad and merry,
When thine wrinkled face tries to smile.
