A poetic piece
Scouting and scouting-out the void,
We lost sight of what the mind and nature avail.
At the dwarfing winds of hard times we seem annoyed;
Through endless oceans of strive we sail.

Even in the gravely silent witching hour,
When some rest we are but to behold,
At the cloud of gloom within we glower.
To sorrow, same we desire, we sold.

Happiness, unaware of your presence
Your presence,
Shores afar we launch for you
launch for you;
Eager to taste of your irreplaceable essence
essence!
Like the shrubs eager for the ethereal dew
ethereal dew.
But just within you lie
you lie.
To your latent presence we are blind
we are blind,
And countless human ideas we buy
we buy,
For what nature avails we fail to mind
we fail to mind.

For like boundless volumes we write
Of wonders under the azure sky,
Countless burdens we make light,
If within we know the wonders that lie.

The objective sphere, the moon and sun,
Are but marvels, brimful of glee.
For as day and night with their swiftness run,
The sun and moon in turn avails the earth of gree.

As the grasses with the sun’s smiling rays
Their world but rule and design,
In endless mirth, we but rule our days;
If to nature’s gift some dearness we’re sure to assign.

Of choices, happiness is but one to choose,
With neither home nor abode to find.
In futile scouts, the treasures within we lose,
To Timbuktu we journey for what lies in the mind.

For no tide of turbulence, no life,
Living is but the act of a knight,
With feeling honeycombed by readiness for a strife,
And in glowing glee lies the might.

So let’s if we may,
Cast our ever docile minds to the moon of the night,
And to the sun of the day,
With the might of a knight.

Let’s if we may,
Savour the amazing imagery the mind avails,
Nature’s aesthetics that beautify the day,
And her principles which but never fails.
