The whispers are everywhere.
Here I sit, the centre of this abyss I call home.
Whispers slither about me, sliding into my senses.
They cloud my eyes and clog my ears,
Zip my lips and twist my tongue.
They grow louder and larger,
Screaming and screeching with a familiar fury,
They shatter my skull and rattle my mind.
Ooze drips through the haze,
Showing a world best unshown,
A world that I know well.
