Trees dancing in a storm.
Silence,
Complete and utter.
Even the wind holds its breath.

Coolness;
The faintest of breezes
Touches the tips of the leaves,
Making the branches tremble in anticipation.

Shhhhhh...
The hiss of rain
Begins the music of the approaching storm.

Gently,
Puffs of wind play
With the tresses of the majestic evergreens,
Twitching and pushing them this way and that.

The trees
Sway to and fro
In step with the blustery gusts.

Finally,
Amid the percussion
Of thunderclaps and strobe-light lightning,
The trees dance with the wind with unbridled passion.
