Poem of cycles in everything.
My whole world changed overnight.
I didn’t notice for two
Big things and small things
Change is weird like that.

My whole world changed overnight.
My mother laughed, cried, danced
I saw emotions thought long lost
Change is weird like that.

My whole world changed overnight.
My sister, calm, unusually so
A rock, a mountain, a place of support
Change is weird like that.

My whole world changed overnight.
My brother, so quiet, now loud
A thunderstorm of noise, striking
Change is weird like that.

My whole world changed overnight.
My father, the head, the top
Spins round and round and round
Change is weird like that.
