A ghazal form poem written for The Cramp.
a flutter like a lightning strike
between the ache and the flash are we

we love dreamlike, full reckless and free
disasters of sweet longing are we

at dusk, in the deepening twilight
two singing siren tricksters are we

we fight warlike and feral with glee
what quick-mad, savage dancers are we

we lose each other to memory
then two shadows in the dark are we
