Writing prompt for the word 'battle'.
Battle-worn and brittle,
I'm easily scratched
and easily scarred.

Knocked down more times than pins
in a bowling alley.

Physique belying strength;
All hidden in weakness.

Yes, I am battle-worn.
Avoiding conflict
directed my way.

From injustice, if seen,
I don't turn away
or remain silent.

Though I am battle-worn,
I will take a stand
for those who cannot.
