I wish you had grown taller
Been given better soil
for your roots to thrive
I saw the overflowing abundance
of your blossom
before you even had
A chance to bud
The promise of your buoyant song
The secrets of your bold bouquet
Oh what a radiant sight you'd be
If you had only been nurtured
