Made in my notebook during anatomy lesson about lymphatic system. 16 September 2022.
Lymph, a substance,
Left over; lost.
Wrong place, wrong time.
They are kidnapped by the Capillaries,
And taken through lymphatic vessels.

White blood cells are selected,
And are trafficked through lymph nodes.
They are given their prisoner-group name:
WBC.

They have no choice; they are forced
But to fight for their existence.
A life or death situation:
They must beat each fight of their opponents,
The Infections. Armed robbers;
They want complete control. To take over.

It is up to the WBC to stop this.
If they lose; they die, amongst catastrophe.
If they win, they then must undergo
Temporary slavery. Filtering the blood.

Once this is done, they are let go;
Set free, to go back to their normal work,
Working in the circulatory system.

This is The Hunger Games,
Going on in your body!
