Title

Doubt
can be both a test of religious faith
or its destruction.

It is the monster lurking
within the darkness
of disbelief and denial.

It is the shadow
asking the questions
of the light of certitude.

The battle
between ego and soul
is an internal struggle
between skepticism
and steadfast faith in God.

The only expectation
a believer has
is that each time the soul wins
the light of certitude becomes brighter.
