try to be better
In the recesses of my mind, shadows reside,
A symphony of doubts, where my fears collide.
Insecurities, like whispers in the night,
They dance around my thoughts, taking flight.

I strive to be accomplished, to touch the sky,
Yet the weight of self-doubt makes me wonder why.
A writer's pen, a canvas for my soul,
But what if my words never make me whole?

Success beckons, a distant guiding star,
But am I capable of reaching that far?
A journey strewn with obstacles unseen,
I question my worth, caught in between.

Religion's embrace, a solace for the heart,
Yet I falter, unsure where to start.
Faith's tapestry woven with delicate thread,
Can I find my place in what lies ahead?

As a husband, I stumble, trying to improve,
Seeking the path to make our love groove.
Learning to listen, to understand and share,
But the path to being better is a climb, not a dare.

Shortcomings and insecurities, they define,
The human experience, a complex design.
Yet in these struggles, I find my strength,
A reminder that imperfections are the breadth and length.

So I embrace the journey, both high and low,
A work in progress, as we all ebb and flow.
In these words, my vulnerabilities are sown,
A testament that growth is a path to be known.

Let us not be defined by our flaws,
But by how we rise, despite the applause.
For in acknowledging our weaknesses true,
We find the courage to become something new.
