A poem on unrequited love
A friend she needs

I hide away my intention;
To see her again
She struggles and fears
As my thoughts turn to tears

The words I will not say;

In my inner sanctum she resides
Yet she constructs and divides
And yet I cannot say;

As this world burns, a new is born
In this tempest of fire, a child is born
Nameless and fearless
But true and kind, this causality of love
Although short-lived but divine

She needs a friend, I need something more
The child so born is often longed for
As I stay still and she carries on
The friend she needs is never far gone
