An old poem I wrote years ago based on "The Great Gatsby."
1922
Dance away you beautiful little fool
Stacks of oranges tell stories with each drop
Wind blows tents of silk to the rhythm of the night
The jitterbug infects the world tonight
Dreams are of no consequence
Love
It claims many lives in time so sudden
Seat belts are not an issue here
One should be careful of jealousy
It can have an ill effect
The American Dream may become a nightmare
But not for a beautiful little fool
