a hendecasyllabic for the Writer's Cramp
Ecology not Theology

I woke up happy for no reason today
sensing the eye of every species on me.
Embraced by a community of beings
our dialogue expands, deepens, nourishes.
I hold space for forest, leaf, fox, bear, eagle
and take plants to my brow, they speak in pictures.
There is a place for every language but mine.
Mushrooms deliquesce to black inky liquid
as galaxies implode, arise, and shapeshift.
Something lurks beyond grammar, beyond logic.
My dreams are happy for no reason tonight.
