Valentine’s Day is over
18 lines
.Here it comes again, that date in Feb.
It really is a pain, when Cupid is a cause célèbre.

Do people really believe that true love still exists?
Surely the day of Valentines is one of life’s great myths.

Today’s girls and guys simply go to Tinder,
With a swipe to the right with a touch of a finger.

They’re much too savvy to fall for romance,
They tend to go for the game of chance.

None of this waiting and longing,
It’s into the sack with no prolonging.

Girls don’t need the chocs and roses,
They don’t even want a man who proposes.

They’ll move in together in the blink of an eye.
When it doesn’t work out they’ll kiss him goodbye.

So, it seems Cupid’s glory days have long since passed,
And I’m afraid to inform him, the die is cast.

So, Sir Cupid, hop on your bike.
It looks as if your drink has been spiked.
