When to surrender control.

Control or Surrender

Grappling for control of my mind
I'm losing control of my body
I feel the tremors in my legs
Praying that it is an earthquake
These sensations are foreign to me
I, carved in stone, no emotion shown

I seem cold even though I smile
I am struggling to keep control
I revert to silence, sensations suppress
My mind screams control - my body let go
I know what butterfly sensations are
But this is some strange warm glow

Your soul I see in your eyes, you can't hide
Something resonates deep in my own soul
Confusion of emotion, grappling for control
Drawn closer by an unseen bond, something old
Let go, let me be taken by the tide, swept away
To you I will surrender and sacrifice control.
