An acrostic poem
St. Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick never drink green beer,
Though he did offer true Irish cheer.

Patrick was steadfast in his faith,
A man who gave God all his praise,
Taught his fellowman to love God,
Ran the devil's snakes out of Ireland,
Invoked the name of Christ when he prayed,
Constructed churches and monasteries,
Knelt before the Cross to ask forgiveness,
Saved all the Irish souls that he could.

Do not toast St. Patrick with green beer,
Acknowledge him with true Irish cheer:
You can offer your services to the poor.
