A poem to a friend
Thank you for loving me, when I was the worst version of myself.
You came along beside me, when I couldn't ask for help.
You extended your hand, and walked beside me with compassion and grace.
For you my friend I am thankful, you put a smile back on my face.
Through the darkness I have traveled to find the light again.
The first steps of that journey began with you my friend.
I am forever thankful, how God has used you in my life.
You played a part in helping me to overcome my anger and strife.
So when the tables turn, and it's you who needs a friend,
Just know I will be there, to walk with you again.
