poem about loss

I am not lost to you, I am transformed, not separated in death
Only closer than we could have been where flesh could divide us
I may walk in your dreams and visit you when your thoughts are still
Whisper poetry in your ear and become your quiet muse
I will keep company with you when loneliness would swallow you
Stand beside you when you struggle to make right with your world.
I will wait with patience for you to find me again, in words, in gestures
In small simple memories, I will sing you songs of healing and acceptance
I will breathe gentle summer on the chill winter of your grief
I will bring comfort, sweet and warm, when you are lost inside of pain
You will know that I will never leave I am woven into your soul, your flesh
Love does not weep inconsolably it endures in whatever form it takes.
