Reflections on Life and Salvation

I sat by the sea and built a castle of sand.
I marveled at my creation, how I thought it looked grand.

But, the first wave came as it always does,
I was left with only shapes to remind me of what the castle once was.

When the fourth wave came, the castle was no more.
All that was left was an empty shore.

God once formed the heavens and made a man from dust.
He loved His creation; He loved us.

When the first wave came, the man fell by a tree.
Yet, God loved the shape that remains in me.

When my fourth wave comes, when death knocks at my door,
I'll still stand and not fear an empty shore.

God gave His son to fall for me.
Forever I'll stand because Christ died on a tree.
