Father and son bond for a 'cat's eye' vision of net-age drawn behavior-modifications.
EMIT: An apply computer-mouse for my 50th, sonny-lad?
AMLAN: Given your fascination with the color white and sports.
EMIT: Aha, I may find myself on a cricket-sports cyber-forum for personals.
AMLAN: It's the net-age, father; something for story's philosophy.

Amlan was troubled by his father's alcoholism and his endless fascination with watching cricket sports on cable-TV in their (shared) Homeland-Jersey townhouse where Amlan was a sports-writer, working on rivalry-concepts for American Homeland superstitions. Emit had always been a 'frantic' man so to speak, and his endless drunk rants about 'classic-white' color uniforms for cricket sports teams in its 'Golden Age' made him think a 'nature-distraction' for net-age activity (Internet) would draw in his father special cricket-cyber commentary for the Ego. Perchance it would help him stop drinking and thereby become a more affable daddy-at-home.

EMIT: Why you no bring your newest lady-friends home to meet me?
AMLAN: Perchance I fear your drinking will shy us (all) away, father!
EMIT: I made a cricket-blog online with my new white-mouse, sonny-lad.
AMLAN: What's it, dad?
EMIT: West Indies fanfare, white-uniforms Golden-Age World Cup ('70s).
AMLAN: Got some kicks, eh?
EMIT: Maybe I should switch to Pina Colada...no more Scotch/beer.
AMLAN: Sounds like a network plan, Emit (cool).
EMIT: Thanx.

Amlan was shockingly delighted by this 'revelation' that Emit's cyber-cricket activity prompted in him a newfound story's philosophy for lifestyle/behavior adjustments and hoped to spin the glee into a new storyboard he himself would write about that 'glorious' 1970s World Cup (cricket) that saw certain West-Indies splendor for fanfare/superstitions. After all, that West Indies trumpet put the relatively less-dominant Earth country on the symbolic 'net-map' of social media age commentary, for the Ego! Was this the inception of something 'personally' metaphysical for father-and-son in the Homeland-Jersey of lines to bread-dialysis?

EMIT: I've become a man of culture, sonny-lad.
AMLAN: Good (social media); Pina Colada.
EMIT: Coconut soup is on the docket for Sunday, Amlan (ok?).
AMLAN: Great...I love Thai (take-out)...so does my new lady-friend.
EMIT: What's her name?
AMLAN: Sunny.
EMIT: Cool...like 'Sunil' Gavaskar (Indian cricket-player legend).
AMLAN: Right-o; white-uniform color; Golden Age, eh?
EMIT: "And the band plays on"...for a doctorate.
AMLAN: Thanx.
