How absurd is it to laugh.

The human brain has been described as the most complex structure in the known universe.
– Some Human Confidently

Hah, I thought I thought. I think I thought I heard someone laugh. What was it that was so funny? What could they have encountered that shook them so? What was it that brought this on?

I think I thought. I thought I could. I think I thought I must have heard something funny. I must have heard someone laugh. I think I thought I was alone. This space - so big now. I thought I was alone, all alone the only one but someone laughed. I may have company I must not be alone. These ever receding walls, they do nothing for the acoustics. I must have been mistaken. I may still well be. It may have been an echo. It may have been my own. I chuckled, I laughed, I seem to remember. Not so long ago.

After all I was stunned, I was dazed and benumbed. I chortled in discomfort. I may even have laughed out loud.

I may not be alone, I must have wondered. What could be so funny? What would make one laugh, I laughed. It's strangely comical. It is so moronic that one can only laugh. Who would think this if they could? And what was it that was so funny, what made me choke what made me cough, what may have made me laugh?

I must have lost it for a while there. For a while at least. *The most*...*in the*... of all the things they might have said. Of all the things I wish I'd heard.

I must have laughed, I hope. I choked, I coughed, I must have also laughed. It was so long ago now. I don't know if I should I hope I said.
