Tommy gets a transplant
The One

The waiting would be strenuous
with pain and fear tremendous.
He needed two not just one
in the mountains under the sun.

Not like the visions whirling in his head;
clear and concise were the words he read,
Of one lone donor; there was no other
giving this sacrifice, this gift to another.

Blessed twice with life and now with love;
praises he sings for the One above.
He needed two but got the One
beyond the mountains; that made the sun.
