Time has made me a ghost.
Sadness
swells within
as I walk
the avenues of change
the home dad built
housing strangers
my high school
an empty lot
friends a memory.

I rewind my life
to childhood
to recapture
a boy full of dreams.
as I leave
I look upon
a faded town
faded loves
time has made of me
a ghost.
