Perhaps I am - asking God - for the wrong things
Asking God
To give me wisdom
To fight the storms
Of life;
I am sure
He hears me.
Asking God
To give me love
Solid and secure
And everlasting.
I am sure
He hears me.
Asking God
For health
And happiness;
Not just for me
But friends and kin -
I am sure
He hears me.
The blessings come
When I am quiet
And learn His will,
When I listen
To His answers
For He gives me
Everything I need
Each day;
One day at a time.
I will learn
To give thanks
Instead of
Forever
Asking God.
