This is what I think adulthood seems like to a young child.
Oh to be a grown up,
What a pleasure it must be,
Not to hear the words,
Are you listening to me?!
It's time for school,
It's time for bed,
These are the words you hear in your head!
That skirt's too short!
That blouse is too low!
No you cannot go to a show!
Be home by eight,
And DON'T be late.
Being a child is what I hate.

But then again,
Its not that bad,
When you think of all the things we've had,
We don't have to work,
For the money we get,
We have no worries,
Well, not just yet!
We leave a list for Santa,
And hope that he will come,
We get money from the tooth fairy,
When we pull our teeth out,
One by one,
So being a child is a lot of
FUN!
